BIO
Kate L. Malone is a Nashville-based songwriter, studio owner, and record producer specializing in creative development and project management for rising independent artists. She specializes in building creative teams around artists—bringing together Nashville’s best studio musicians, songwriters, and human creative talent to help independent artists make music that can compete at a professional level.
Her production work has been featured in Forbes, People Magazine, Music Row Magazine, nFocus and various other publications.
Kate collaborated with Splice to launch Splice Country in 2025 and has co-produced audio sample packs such as Nashville Essentials, Nashville Essentials II, Country Grit, Southern Gothic, and several new upcoming releases.
She has written and produced songs that have appeared in several TV shows and movies, including “Switched At Birth” (Freeform Network), "Greek" (ABC Family), "Ten Things I Hate About You" (ABC Family), "Make It Or Break It" (ABC Family), and "The City" (MTV) as well as the feature film The Darkest Hour (Summit Entertainment/20th Century Fox).
Kate also served as the Music Director and Score Composer for "She Believed She Could," a musical theatre production in residency at the Woolworth Theatre in 2022.
